Job Summary

Al Marwan Developments is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer – Heavy Machinery to oversee electrical systems, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment across various project sites. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure efficient and safe operation of electrical components in construction machinery.

Key Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer – Heavy Machinery include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and trucks

• Diagnose complex electrical faults and provide effective technical solutions

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems

• Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures

• Review and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation

• Coordinate with mechanical teams, workshop staff, and site personnel for maintenance activities

• Supervise electricians and technicians to ensure quality and timely completion of work

• Maintain accurate reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation

• Support procurement by specifying electrical components and spare parts

• Attend major breakdowns and provide technical guidance for quick resolution

• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support operational efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 4–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with heavy machinery or construction equipment

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components in heavy equipment

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

• Familiarity with maintenance planning and asset management systems

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Good communication and leadership abilities

• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools

• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices

• UAE driving license is an advantage

• Flexible, proactive, and able to work across different locations as required
