Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator – Asphalt / Roads to support tendering and cost estimation activities for road and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong expertise in asphalt production, cost analysis, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure competitive and accurate project bids.

Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Estimation

• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project scope

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for asphalt works

• Estimate production costs including bitumen, aggregates, fuel, manpower, and equipment

• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations

Costing & Coordination

• Calculate plant production costs (per ton/m²)

• Estimate transportation, plant, and machinery usage

• Prepare cost analysis, P&L projections, and update rates based on market trends

• Coordinate with operations, procurement, finance, and QA/QC teams

Documentation & Support

• Prepare quotations, pricing sheets, and tender submissions

• Maintain cost databases and track bid outcomes

• Support project teams with planning, variations, and costing

  Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 3–5 years of experience in asphalt estimation/road projects (UAE preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of asphalt production and paving operations

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and analytical tools

  • Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
