Job Summary
Al Marwan Group is seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure to support our infrastructure projects in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and controlling road and infrastructure works to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery in compliance with project requirements and U.A.E regulations.
The Planning Engineer will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to manage schedules, monitor progress, assess risks, and support cost control and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and manage baseline schedules and critical path analysis
Prepare, update, and monitor schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project
Integrate project packages and manage interdependencies
Identify delays and propose mitigation plans
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track actual progress against baseline schedules
Prepare progress reports, variance analysis, and forecasts
Risk, Cost & Contract Support
Conduct risk assessments and perform “what-if” analysis
Support cost tracking and forecasting with QS teams
Assist in EoT and claims analysis
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in roads and infrastructure projects in the U.A.E
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel
Knowledge of U.A.E construction standards
AutoCAD knowledge preferred
