Job Summary

The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring all project activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role supports the Project & HSE teams by implementing safety plans, conducting inspections, preventing incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture across all construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the HSE Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines across project sites.

• Carry out daily site inspections and identify potential hazards.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and client safety requirements.

• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

• Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety training sessions.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, audits, and safety documentation.

• Coordinate emergency response drills and HSE preparedness programs.

• Support the project team in risk assessment and method statement review.

• Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture within the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HSE Engineer in construction projects.

• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.

• Good communication and reporting skills.

• Ability to manage multiple project sites and work under pressure.
